The Guaranty Trust Bank GDR gained 9.52% to increase from $5.25 to $5.75 today on the London Stock Exchange.

Dont forget that one GDR unit of $5.75 entitles you to 50 GTB Bank shares on conversion. Number crunchers can do the maths and find out the discount bargain on offer

In UK you have to purchase them through a Stock Broker. My Broker allows me to purchase shares in the NYSE so contact your broker in Canada to confirm if they could purchase the GTB GDR for you-its denominated in USD.

Thanks bros
I had actually written to GTB and they told me various ways i could get the GDR. As a matter of fact the GDR closed ar $5.00 on friday before the seeming resurgence. GTB actually gave me an institutional investor i could contact and when i called them , come see expose my brother. He actually said that they will only sell to a group or individual who was willing to invest 1 million dollars and he said i should be careful in thinking that the GDR is cheaper than the local stock. he said it was because of the 1% cap that things were the way they were. fear come catch me. he told me that they dont consider  nigeria a very safe place to invest and that the 1% cap will be removed  at the end  or middle of next month . anyway i dey contact my broker for here tommorow whether dem get any of their broker wen dey OIB list
I go keep u posted and buy my bros if you fit. na heavy discount
