@All immigrants,I'm in!!

Nostalgic.

Who owns this Forum,when was it lunched etc,etc,etc :hungry: :hungry: :hungry:

The forum was stumbled upon in our search for an alternative site. If you hadn't already noticed The thread had started to drag because most peeps were not posting.
Posting reduced since we could no longer use charts to understand stocks.

Truth be told,I have some mis-givings with this immigration thingie.The slowness ssen by peeps to post aside,I think we need to give our old thread the chance to finetune the moderation being brokered by volunteers(I too volunteered to moderate the night-shift).

The issue of restricted picture uploads I think was to be taken-up with Seun.

Who is to say that problems may not begin to rare its ugly head here like it did at the other thread?

Hence the need to pursue perfecting what we've got already.

I hear you loud and clear, but should we wait until the thread grinds to a halt? Since we graduated to using candle charts and using pic and Loma's jokes, we just couldn't imagine going back to the way we were. This thread will be moderated, so we shouldn't expect a reoccurrence of the past. Seun totally banned the use of pics and charts without telling us why or if it will ever be reinstated.

Topun recently saved someone on the forum N1.5m. Thanks to his understanding of the charts. Remember that as he posts these charts and discussions ensue between him and Ijogbon, the result is that we'll learn from them. I have.

I don't really think Seun appreciates our presence on the site. If he truly did I'm certain his actions would be totally different. My thoughts

I see a win-win here . We need charts and pics. Until Seun allows those, we will continue to use this place. If he allows the pics, we may decide to go back!

This does not stop anyone from posting on the other site, but we can't do without charts et al.

It's a common feature for forums to allow the posting of 'sticky topics', stay at the top at all times for easy search and navigation.

@Omoge

(Wolf whistles).....Thanks for having us. Now prepare to have a deluge.

@All Immigrant and Migrant Visa holders

There is no doubt that this place will never be like 'home' (711 pages of collective knowledge and the random ramblings of repressed comedians noh be 'today'). But the recent happenings at 'home' have not endeared peeps to our 'father'land.

This case reminds me of the 'Andrew' phenomenom of the late 70's to early 90's. The degeneration of a 'nation', the ineffectiveness of leadership to carry everybody along and make them feel part of the 'soceity' and people feeling so helpless that migration was the only option they felt remained for them (and No I am not talking about Nigeria of the 80's. I am talking about 'father'land of TODAY.). See the similiarities? But just as those of us who were told those stories and those of us who are Old enough to remember know.....the mass exodus of Nigerians in those years didnt solve Nigerias problem plus it created new ones which many of us in diaspora are now 'enjoying' !!! ???

'father'land is our COGNITIVE COLLECTIVE it is our handwork, the fruit of our labour, the result of endless toil, it is the wealth of our 'nation'. We have a claim to it, a right ! but with all rights there come responsibilities.

I believe we have the responsibility to contribute in anyway possible to the solving of our problems on 'father'land only when it becomes a failed 'state' do we become refugees.

Tell me - are we going to forget 711 pages of WISDOM?

The bears in the market are not relenting for now. I think this is the time to gradually re-position your portfolio especially if you have stocks that are not fundamentally sound. It is quite obvious that these stocks are now being deserted and we can witness further significant drops even though most are already near the year's low.
Enjoy.
