Job Description:
Our Client, a major Oil & Gas plc in Nigeria has a requirement for a Project Manager. The Contractors activities are divided into five principal areas: Offshore Fabrication, Shipbuilding/repair, Logistics Base (in development), Free Zone management and Facilities management.

The principal purpose of this role is to ensure that assigned Projects within the Offshore Fabrication yard are completed consistently and reliably and to the required safety, quality and construction standards whilst remaining within budgets and on schedule.

ELEMENTS OF JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Your background will be in background in the Fabrication of Offshore Structures.
The ideal candidate will be currently employed in this role and looking for a move, either abroad or into a new company.
The project for this position is for a Major Oil Company and comprises of 7,500 tons of Fabrication for the Top Sides of an FPSO, the Contractor will procure materials, Fabricate the 14 different modules the load out in (5) different Loadouts, Project Fabrication will be from Dec.2008 with the last loadout Scheduled for June 2010
Reporting to the Operations Manager, Project Director and Project Client you will manage their project team of approximately 15 staff in the Offshore division.
You will liaise with Operations manager, Construction manager, Senior Construction Supt., Client, Project Team and Subcontractors and have supervision of around 15 ex-pats and Indigenous employees.

Responsibilities:

Liaising with Client, Contractual Issues, Finance, Schedules, Planning, Weekly Meetings, Monthly Meetings, All Documentation, complete Project is in PM's control.
